Linda Sue Lewis, 79, of Kahoka and formerly of Keokuk Iowa, passed away at 3:37 pm on January 8, 2021, at Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk.

She was born September 4, 1941, in Keokuk, the daughter of the late George & Bernice Dietrich. Linda was a graduate of Keokuk High School. She worked most of her life as an LPN for Dr. Beckert in Kahoka and also at the Clark County Nursing Home for many years and later retired from Metzler in Keokuk.

Linda married Duane Lewis on March 15, 1968 in Keokuk and he preceded her in death. Linda and Duane shared a common hobby of music, Duane often playing the guitar with Linda singing and dancing along. She collected angels and a variety of pieces of Betty Boop memorabilia. Linda also enjoyed making rag dolls for her grandchildren.

Linda is survived by five sons; Alan Lewis of Kahoka, Jerry Lewis of Las Vegas, NV, Mark (Valerie) Egley of Poncha Springs, CO, Daryl (Deana) Egley of Kahoka, Mitchell (Mellissa) Lewis of St. John, MO, five daughters; Conda (Richard) Lindell of Kahoka, Donna (Harold) Heinze of Kahoka, Diana Hacker of Mesa AZ, Lori (Jimi) Brooksbank of Mesa AZ, and Cora (Terry) Malone of Kahoka, 22 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 1 great great-grandchild, one brother; Danny (Shirley) Dietrich of Kahoka, and one sister; Janice Painter of Monmouth, IL and by two sisters in law, Norma (Ken) Hatridge of Washington and Nelda Farthing of Arkansas. In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her husband, one daughter-in-law; Beth Lewis, one grandson; Trey Hacker, one great granddaughter; Lexi Smith and by two sisters; Clarita Stoneking and Kay Prescott.

In accordance with Linda’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and a Celebration of Life Ceremony will be conducted at a later date. Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home in Kahoka has been entrusted with the care and arrangements. Memorial contributions in Linda’s memory are suggested to the Clark County Nursing Home.
