Jerry Don Webber, age 66, of Kahoka, MO, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 in Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.

Jerry was born March 9, 1955 in Kansas City, MO, a son of Walter O. and Dorothy BeGole Webber.

He was united in marriage to Kristy Nixon Lovell on January 17, 2009 at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Kahoka.

Survivors include his wife, Kristy, of the home; his mother-in-law, Janet Nixon of Kahoka; five children: Kerri Cole and her husband, Destry Pirch of Blue Springs, MO; Walter (Stephanie) Webber of Lone Jack, MO, Schuyler (Ashley) Lovell of Gretna, NE, Donald (Danielle) Webber of Holts Summit, MO and Kayli Lovell and her fiancé, Jared Kepko of Columbia, MO; six grandchildren: Owen and Will Pirch, Liam and Lynlee Lovell and Iva and Emery Webber; a sister, Janet Webber of St. Louis, MO; a brother, Charles (Karen) Webber of Edwards, IL; brother-in-law, Doug (Lisa) Nixon of Chesterfield, MO, two sisters-in-law, Kimberly (Tony) Daniel of Kahoka, MO and Kelly (Rodney) Hirtzer of Nashville, TN; nieces and nephews, Jordan and Noah Webber, Kristin Thompson, Carrington Daniel, and Sam, Lily and Sophie Nixon; an uncle, Gene Davis of Burlington, IA and aunt, Opal Nixon of Kahoka, MO; as well as several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Keith Nixon; and, brother, Robert Guy Webber.

Everything Jerry did or was involved with, he invested himself fully be it with his family, church, career or community.

Jerry was a 1973 graduate of Clark County R-1 High School and a December of 1977 graduate of the University of Missouri.  He graduated with a degree in Agricultural Engineering and participated in Army ROTC.  Throughout his school years he spent many summers working for various farmers.

He went to work for John Deere following graduation from college, retiring from John Deere, Ottumwa, where he was a Senior Design Engineer.  He was an inventor and held three patents from his work with John Deere.  He was owner of the former Fox Valley Equipment Company, a John Deere implement dealership in Kahoka, MO.

Jerry was elected as an Alderman for the City of Kahoka in 1993 and has served as Mayor since 2013.

He was a life-long member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Kahoka where he had served on various committees, sang in the church choir, and also filled the pulpit as a lay pastor.  He was currently a member of the Endowment Committee.  Additional memberships included the Industrial Opportunities Board, Economic Development Board, Board of Directors of the Kahoka State Bank, and of St. Francisville Lodge # 588, A.F. & A.M.

Jerry was a keeper and collector of many things.  He was a huge fan of Mizzou, St. Louis Cardinals, Kansas City Chiefs, the Clark Co. Marching Indians and Harley Davidson.  His family was second only to his faith and he cherished every moment spent with them.  He enjoyed the past few years sitting on his deck at the Lake of the Ozarks and his drives to the family farm.

Funeral services for Jerry Don Webber, age 66, of Kahoka, MO, were held Saturday, January 8, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Kahoka.  Rev. Dan Moore and Pastor Shawn McAfee officiated. Burial followed at St. Paul 's Cemetery in Kahoka.  A visitation was held Friday, January 7, 2022, at the Wilson and Triplett Funeral Home in Kahoka from 5-8 p.m. Memorials in Jerry’s name were suggested to Clark County Marching Indians, Clark County Local Cancer Fund, or Industrial Opportunities.
