George Crockett

George Delmas Crockett, 68, of Kahoka, passed away at 1:26 pm on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at his home.

George was born in Keokuk, Iowa June 26, 1952 the son of the late Glen and Melrose (Gross) Crockett. He was a beloved son, brother and uncle and will be greatly missed. He was a lifelong resident of Kahoka, dedicated to attending various sport events at Clark County High School and a part of the “chain gang” at football games for many years.  George graduated from Clark County R1 and attended the University of Missouri.  He ran Crockett Cleaners for several years with his parents and later worked at Papas Pizza.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Glenda (John) Gamby and Sandra Hagmeier.   He is survived by his brother Guy David Crockett of Columbia MO, sisters; Patsy (Max) Mitchell of Homer AK, Linda (Al) Nagy of Villages FL, and Bette (Mark) Stuart of Columbia MO, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A visitation was held Thursday, February 18, 2021 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Wilson and Triplett Funeral Home in Kahoka. Interment followed in the Kahoka Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. The family requested memorials be sent to the H.E. Sever Library in Kahoka.
