Steven A. Six, 69, of Kahoka, Missouri, passed away peacefully at 12:57 pm on Monday, June 17, 2024, at his home in Kahoka, MO with his beloved family by his side.
Steve was born on July 7, 1954, in Moberly, Missouri, to Russell and Dortha (Green) Six. He was united in marriage to Martha (Whitehead) Six on November 29, 1997, in Kahoka, MO. Steve was a devoted husband, standing by Martha's side throughout her illness with unwavering love and support. His dedication was a testament to their deep bond and shared years of companionship. Martha preceded him in death on August 21, 2022.
Steve graduated from Clark County High School. After graduating, he worked for Henniges as a fork truck operator and retired in 2016. Steve cherished his job and the profound friendships he developed that lasted a lifetime. Outside of work, Steve, alongside his wife Marty, found joy through their shared love of music. They could often be found strumming their guitars together. In addition, they enjoyed hanging around a bonfire, and riding the side by side with their grandchildren.
One of Steve’s most cherished traditions was going turkey hunting with his son Aaron, a shared passion they enjoyed frequently together. In his downtime, Steve often had coffee with “the guys” in the morning, watched gun smoke 24-7, and sat on his front porch with his pipe. Steve was always ready with open arms and a big smile for family gatherings and enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren. Steve was a friendly man, never knew a stranger, and was always willing to help anyone in need. Later in life, Steve had the fortune to know Tina Carrillo. They enjoyed each other’s company and traveling until his final days.
