RONALD W. HODGES

Ronald W. Hodges, age 73, of Kahoka, MO, passed away Friday, February 23, 2018 in the Montebello Healthcare Center in Hamilton, IL.

Ronald was born August 18, 1944 in Valley City, ND, a son of Wayne and Mildred Rhode Hodges.

He graduated from Kahoka High School and received as Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from the University of Missouri.

He met Mary Ann McMahon while both were serving in the U. S. Air Force and they

married and were blessed with four children, John, Ellen, William, and Thomas.

Survivors include his father, Wayne Hodges of Kahoka; his children: John Hodges of Colorado Springs, CO, Ellen (Daren) Muzzy of North Ferrisburg, VT and William Hodges of Brandon, VT; two grandchildren, Cathrine Richards of Vergennes, VT and Edward Richards of North Ferrisburg, VT; his siblings, Scott (Rickie) Hodges of Circleville, OH, Tedd Hodges of Wyaconda, MO and Debbie Steinmann of Springfield, MO; as well as nieces and nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his mother and a son, Thomas.

Ronald was a member of the Cedar Grove Baptist Church and the Gideons. His faith was a very important part of his life. He had retired from his trucking service, ISOLO Transportation, Inc. He was most proud of being able to raise his children on a dairy farm in Vermont.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Cedar Grove Baptist Church with Brother Walter Barbier officiating. Burial with military rites followed in the Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Cedar Grove Baptist Church.
