REXCENIA FORRISTALL

Rexcenia Forristall, age 84, of Wayland, MO, died Friday, November 5, 2010, in Keokuk Area Hospital, Keokuk, IA.

Rexcenia was born September 6, 1926 at Hannibal, MO, a daughter of Clady Ray and Evalena Marie Lee Sams.

She married Harold Arthur Little and they were blessed with three children. She later married Arnold Forristall in 1966 and he preceded her in death in 1992.

Survivors include a son, Harold Eugene "Pete" Little and his wife, Kelly, of Quincy, IL; two daughters, Karon Sue Dunbar and her husband, Donald, of Osceola, IA, and Joyce Ann Beaty and her husband, John, of Burlington, IA; one brother, Gary Eugene Sams and his wife, Colleen, of Sacramento, CA; four sisters: Carmelita Woods of Richmond, VA, Marlene J. Mack and her husband, Marvin, of Wayland, MO, Colettia Sams of Hannibal, MO and Connie Jean Stella of Bridgeton, MO; twelve grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arnold Forristall; two brothers, Jack Lester Sams and Claude Richard Sams; and a sister, Betty Marjorie Finch.

Rexcenia was employed in the food industry and most of her life managed restaurants in different cities. She was a licensed cosmetologist and in later years was a beauty operator, working out of her home in Princeton, IL at her retirement. Following Arnolds death in 1992, she moved to Clark County. Rex was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed Dan Deatrick as he called on her through the years. She enjoyed reading fiction and absolutely loved watching baseball on television with her favorite team being the Cubs. She loved animals, enjoyed feeding stray cats, and especially loved her dog, Pasqualli! Rex never met a stranger and was a friend to all she knew.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Bonaparte (Iowa) Cemetery with Pastor Dan Fox officiating.

Memorials were suggested to the family.
