Peggy Lynn Bell, 61, of Kahoka, passed away peacefully at 12:40 pm on Saturday, January 1, 2022 at her home with loved ones at her side.

Peggy was born on November 12, 1960 in Carthage, Illinois, the daughter of Carl and Mary Martin.
She was the proud mother of three children; sons, Christopher, and Lowell, and daughter Megan. Peggy was well known for her love of horses and had been riding since she was two years old.  She enjoyed going to horse shows and was a barrel racer. In addition to horses,

Peggy loved being a homemaker and cooking and baking for her partner Randy as well as her friends and family. Her grandchildren were her absolute delight and she enjoyed those times with her family most of all.

Peggy is survived by her partner, Randy Balmer, as well as her mother Mary Martin. She also leaves her children; Christopher (Fiona) Nichols of Kahoka, son Rodney Lowell Jr. (Shelly) Nichols of Mooringsport, Louisiana, and daughter Megan (Shane) Kirchner of Argyle, Missouri; grandchildren Colin and Oliver Nichols, Logan and Carson Nichols, as well as Mercedes, and Conrad Kirchner; brothers Daniel Lee Martin of Kahoka, Charles Clayton Martin of Ashland, Missouri, and Bruce Iric (Mary Kay) Martin of Mexico Missouri, sisters, Patty Ann (Mark) Rudge of Kahoka, and Pamela Sue (Thomas) Koch, of Lexington, Illinois. She also had multiple nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Clayton Martin, and infant brothers, Bruce Iric Martin, and Michael Allen Martin.

A celebration of Peggy’s Life will be scheduled at a later date.  Cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials in Peggy’s name may be directed to the family.
