Paul Eugene Allen, 90, of Kahoka, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home at 5:00 am, on Sunday, June 1, 2025. He was surrounded by his loving family, and his beloved wife.
Paul was born on December 18, 1934, in Livonia, Missouri to Homer and Elsie Marie (Mitchell) Allen. Paul grew up in Livonia, Missouri. He graduated from Livonia High School. He met the love of his life, Miss Emeline Jones, while finding a job. They were married April 23, 1955, in Kahoka, Missouri. They had just celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary at Peaksville Church last month.
Paul was a farmer, raised cattle, horses and other animals. He was a talented wood carpenter, he made beautiful things and shared with his family. Paul enjoyed listening to Bluegrass music, going camping, family vacations, and attending sporting events that his children and grandchildren participated in. Paul loved a good 4-point pitch game and could be a bit ornery. He worked for the county shed for several years, was the Presiding Commissioner for 1 term, and also had the opportunity and the privilege of serving on the board for the new construction of the courthouse. Paul was a 50+ member of St Francisville Masonic Lodge #588. Paul was a faithful member of the Peaksville Christian Church where he served as Deacon and became an Elder Emeritus. His fellowship with his Lord and Savior was a part of his life that was important to him and shared with his family and friends.
Paul’s family was important to him, he looked forward to any time the family got together, especially for a meal. Paul had a heart as big as his stature. He never met a stranger and often you were greeted with a smile or a heartful hug. Paul and Emeline’s love for each other was unconditional, a true partnership, and together they built a wonderful life together.
Paul is survived by his wife Emeline, his daughter Pamela (Bill Noble) Masden of Kahoka, MO, his sons Dennis (Michelle) Allen of Kahoka, MO, Gary (Kim) Allen of Kahoka, MO, Homer (Cheryl) Allen of Lake of the Ozarks, MO, 2 sisters: Reta Ollmann and Neta Pierce both of Cairo, MO, a sisters-in-law: Arlene Allen of Unionville, MO, Angeline Lindsay of Jacksonville, IL, Betty (Kenny) McWhorter of Ft Madison, IA, a brother-in-law: Raymond Jones of MO, 12 grandchildren: Travis (Gena) Ellison, Paula (Darin Wilson) O’Brien, Isaiah (Erin) Allen, Ethan (Samantha) Allen, Brandon (Athena) Duncan, Courtney Duncan, TJ (Lisa) Duncan, Taylor (Caitlin) Allen, Dillon Allen, Emelie (Stephen Hicks) Allen, Justin (Nancy) Conrad, Jodi Vanskike, 21 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws: Raymond and Mary Jones, son-in law: Junior Masden, his grandson: Kody Allen, and several brothers, sisters, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Funeral Services for Paul Allen, will be held Friday, June 6, 2025, at 11:00 am, at the Peaksville Christian Church in Revere, MO, Pastor Shawn McAfee will officiate, with burial at the Kahoka Cemetery Kahoka, MO. Visitation with family present will be held Thursday, June 5, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home, Kahoka, MO. Masonic Service will be held at 4:45 pm prior to the visitation. Memorial contributions in memory of Paul Allen are suggested to the Peaksville Christian Church or to the Clark County R-1 Sports Program in Memory of Paul Allen checks payable to Clark County R-1.
