Patricia King (70), of Kahoka passed away at 12:15pm on Thursday, September 24, 2022, at the Clark County Nursing Home. Patty was born on December 14, 1951, in Norfolk Virginia to Howard and Ione Demay. She graduated from Rock Island High School and went on to study cosmetology. Later on, Patty would teach cosmetology as an instructor. Patty loved plants and animals and was very active. She completed the Quad Cities BIX Marathon several times before her health declined. Patty loved classic rock, Led Zeppelin, and Mountain Dew. She loved her children and grandchildren, and she will be deeply missed by her friends and family.
Patty is survived by her children Tony (Meggan) Zier from Rock Island, Illinois, and Jessica (David) Saunders, of Kahoka, Missouri; brother Michael (Debbie) Demay of Davenport, Iowa; sisters, Nan Holmes of Greenville, Michigan, and Lisa (Mike) Blunck, of Peoria, Illinois; 5 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, stepmother Dorothy Nixon Demay, and her brother-in-law, Mark Holmes
There will be a private family service at a later date. Memorials to the Foster Back Pack Program through St. Paul’s Church in Kahoka, are gratefully accepted.
