Milton Arnold

Milton Arnold, 81, of Alexandria, MO passed away at 8:45 pm on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis, MO surrounded by his family. Milton was born on February 20, 1942 at Keokuk, IA, to Roscoe and Avice (Bryant) Arnold.  He married Suzanne (Peevler) on April 24, 1966 in Keokuk, IA. and she survives.

Milton graduated from Kahoka High School. He was baptized and a member of the Alexandria Presbyterian church and served as an Elder for the church. He retired from Union Electric as a supervisor.

Milton loved playing cards, camping, and fishing.  He was handy with tools and enjoyed woodworking and carpentry.  His favorite sport to play was golf. Milton deeply enjoyed golfing and developed numerous friendships both on the course and in the clubhouse.  He also served on the Board of Directors at Deer Run Golf Course in Hamilton, Il.  In his later life, he took pleasure in spending the winter months in South Padre Island.  Milton had an ever-present, sometimes raucous sense of humor and enjoyed making those around him laugh. He dearly loved his family and enjoyed the times they spent together.

Milton is survived by his wife Suzanne, 3 sons: Jonathan (Ray Wolff), Matthew (Courtney) Arnold of Alexandria, MO, Scott (Chelsy) Arnold of O’Fallon, 3 grandchildren: Josh, Zoey, Owen, 1 brother: Larry (Carolyn) Arnold of Kahoka, MO, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother: Jerry Arnold, and 3 sisters: Laquita Joy, Jewell Value, and Nadine Glasgow.

Funeral Services for Oscar Milton Arnold will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 11:00 am at Presbyterian Church in Alexandria, MO.  Pastor Dan Davis will officiate.

 Interment will follow at Frazee Cemetery, Wayland, Missouri.  Visitation with family present will be held at the Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home on Friday, January 12, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Memorial contributions in memory of Milton Arnold are suggested to the Alexandria Presbyterian Church.
