Kahoka

Michael Owen Rebo, 64, of Kahoka, Missouri, passed away at 3:21 pm on Saturday, April 25, 2026, in Raytown, Missouri.

Michael was born on April 9, 1962, in Galesburg, Illinois to Owen and Virginia (Johnson) Rebo. Michael graduated from Galesburg, IL High School in 1980.

Michael liked to keep busy, his first job at age 16 was working in the mailroom at the Burlington Hawkeye and later received his press card which he was very proud of. He then moved to Texas, where he landed his first big printing job which he took very seriously. His last job was working for World Herald Newspaper in Omaha, Nebraska. He truly appreciated all the many friendships he made throughout his different jobs.

In the 1990’s his health started declining and he was unable to work and moved back to Kahoka, MO. Michael loved anything having to do with being outdoors, Fly fishing, Squirrel and Rabbit hunting with relatives. He had a beautiful voice and would Karaoke whenever possible. He looked forward to watching Nascar always rooting for the Ford cars, and the Kansas City Chiefs corresponding back and forth with his sister Michele all through the game. Michael believed in God and read his bible faithfully. His family, friends, and co-workers were important to him and if you had the pleasure of knowing Michael you knew he had a loving and giving heart.

Michael is survived by his sisters Michele Brantner of Nixa, MO., Dixie (Clint) Kirchner of Kahoka, MO., aunts Darlean Mohr of Kahoka, MO., LaNora Davis of Tennessee, JoAnn Rebo of New Mexico, Kathlean Palmer of Edina, MO., a uncle Neil Rebo of Arkansas, several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
