MARY L. SMITH CAMPBELL

Mary L. Smith Campbell, age 62, of Revere, MO, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at her home.

Mary was born May 8, 1956 in Keokuk, IA, a daughter of Riley and Frances Hendricks Smith.

Mary was united in marriage to Paul M. Egley and they were the parents of Hope and Faith. Following their divorce she married Jerry Thorn and they were the parents of John. Later, she married Robert Campbell.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; two daughters, Hope Egley and Faith Egley Irvin (John Miller) (Delbert Irvin); and one son, John Thorn, all of Revere; three grandchildren: Adrian Egley, Alexis Irvin, and Clayton Irvin; two great-grandchildren, Brenlee Burnett and Payton Egley; a brother, Gene (Cynthia) Smith of DeWitt, IA; three nephews: Eric Smith of Chicago, Nathaniel Smith and Nicholas Smith; and a niece, Shawnee Schmitt, all of DeWitt, IA; as well as other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Ethen Egley.

Mary spent her earlier years as a waitress, mainly at Morgan Oil in Alexandria. She worked a while at the battery factory in Warsaw and later as a CNA at the Clark Co. Nursing Home. Up until recently, she was an over-the-road truck driver for Bollin Truck in Bowen, IL with her husband, Robert.

Mary enjoyed being at home and loved doing yard work. She also loved her tools and working on things that needed fixed. In her free time she enjoyed working on puzzles and doing word search. More than anything, she loved her family and her furry baby, Kia.

At Mary’s request, she has been cremated and there are no services planned.

Memorials may be made to the family.

The family was assisted by Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka.
