Martha Lee (Harker) Bloyd, 93, of Wayland, Missouri, passed away peacefully at 3:25 am on Friday, September 26, 2025, at the Montrose Care Center, Montrose, Iowa.
She was born April 30, 1932, in Louisiana, Missouri, to William and Clara Geneva (Gragg) Harker. Martha graduated from Hamilton High School in 1951. She married Raymond Bloyd on July 27, 1951, in Keokuk, Iowa and he preceded her in death December 1996.
Martha was a service to the Lord. She was a member of the Wayland Methodist Church, a Sunday school for many years and later became a Lay Leader for the church.
She was a hard worker and very loyal to her job at Sheller Globe for over 35 years. Martha was a talented seamstress and made beautiful quilts for family and others. She had a green thumb and enjoyed tending to her beautiful flowers and raising a big garden. Her favorite past time was reading books. Martha loved her family.
She is survived by her son Steven Franklin Bloyd of Wayland, MO, daughter Debra Sue (Tom) Brown of Keokuk, IA, daughter-in-law Rhonda Bloyd of Kahoka, MO, her sisters Marjorie Helwig of Keokuk, IA, Anna Hardy of Hamilton, IL, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great greatgrandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Barbara Welch, her sons Kenneth and Vernon Bloyd, son-in-law John Welch, her sisters Ruth Scheuermann, Mary Keller and Louise Harker.
Graveside services for Martha Lee Bloyd will be held at 11:15 am on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at the Frazee Cemetery, Wayland, Missouri. Pastor Shelby Whitney will officiate. Visitation will be held at the Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home, Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Memorial contributions in memory of Martha Bloyd are suggested to the Cowboy Church.
