Marjorie Lucille Osbon, 103, formally of Kahoka, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, peacefully at her home in Wayland, MO with her family by her side.
Marjorie was born on December 18, 1921, in Milton, Iowa to Raymond Joseph and Beulah May (Owens) Howell. She attended Memphis Grade school up to 8th grade then was needed at home to work on the family farm. Marjorie married William E Osbon on Christmas Day, December 25, 1941, in Memphis, Missouri. He was a World War II Veteran, and he preceded her in death on September 8, 1983.
Marjorie loved to feed and watch the many hummingbirds she had every year, she enjoyed gardening and canning, was an excellent cook and looked forward to family gatherings. Marjorie’s faith was an anchor, and her spirit was a source of light for those around her. She guided her children by example, instilling in them the same enduring love of God that shaped her own life. She appreciated and was thankful for each day she was blessed with.
Marjorie is survived by her sons Jimmy (Merry) Osbon of Kahoka, MO., Charley (Ruth) Osbon of Wayland, MO., Buddy (Anita) Osbon of Kahoka, MO., her daughters Marjorie Ann Haage of Hamilton, IL., Lujean (Charles) Horter of Kahoka, MO., a daughter-in-law Brenda Osbon of Kahoka, MO., her brother Richard Howell of Virginia Beach, VA., 23 grandchildren, 60 great grandchildren, numerous great great grandchildren other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter Sharon Schevers, her sons Jerry and Ronnie Osbon, a sister-in-law Carol Howell, granddaughter Michelle Osbon Brand, grandsons Adam Osbon, Michael Haage, and a great grandson Shea Osbon Brand.
Funeral Services for Marjorie Osbon will be held Friday, October 17, 2025, at 11:00 am at Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home, Kahoka, MO with burial at the Kahoka Cemetery. Pastor Mike Floyd will officiate. Visitation will family present will be held at the Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home, Friday, October 17, 2025, from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Memorials in memory of Marjorie Lucille Osbon are suggested to the Assembly of God Church in Hamilton, IL and can be mailed or left at Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home.
