MARILYN SUE ROSS

Marilyn Sue Ross, age 58, of Kahoka, MO, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 13, 2015 at the Clark Co. Nursing Home where she had resided the past thirty-five years.

Marilyn was born July 17, 1956 in St. Joseph Hospital in Keokuk, IA, the daughter of Laverne M. and Dorothy M. Hunziker Ross.

Survivors include her "momma" Dorothy Ross; a brother, Larry Ross; sister, Mary Ann (Ralph) Plenge; nieces and nephews: Melissa (John) Bevans, Chase, Carissa and Chandler; Jamie (Jenny) Ross, Will, Luke, Anna and Emma; Mark (Hilary) Plenge, Blake, Bryton, Bree and Bennett; Kevin (Mandy) Ross, Karlee, Jade, Hope and Kole; Matthew (Chrissy) Plenge, Abby and Aiden, Carrie (Troy) Hamner, Elly and Kaden, all of Kahoka, MO; an uncle, Jim Hunziker, of Irving, TX; and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her Dad; sister-in-law, Ida Ross; grandparents, Albert and Anna Ross and Clarence and Ruby Hunziker; two uncles and two aunts.

Marilyn had an ear for music and loved to play her organ. In earlier years, she listened to many records, her favorites were Lawrence Welk and the Chipmunks, but later her interest turned to Elvis and Alan Jackson.

She loved snow and was always watching for it and could somehow see the first snow-flake fall. Her nursing home family would bring cups full in to her. Other things top on her list were car rides (she loved wearing her shoes and knew she had to have them on to ride in the car), hamburgers and french fries, tea and Pepsi. Never was there a time that she didn't say "thank you - I love you - and See ya!"

Marilyn loved her family and her extended nursing home family both past and present. She always had a smile.

So Marilyn, one last time, thank you for being part of our lives, we will always love you and will see ya in Heaven.

Funeral services were held Monday, February 16, 2015 at 2 p.m. at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Kahoka with Rev. Dixie Laube officiating.

Burial was in the Kahoka Cemetery.

Visitation was held at Wilson Funeral Home in after noon on Sunday with family receiving friends from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.
