MARILYN BROTHERTON FREY

Marilyn Marie Brotherton Frey, age 78, of Salem, MO, joined her Lord Jesus on Thursday,

May 6, 2010, at Rolla, MO.

She was born May 31, 1931, near Neeper, MO, the daughter of Loyd and Julie Applegate Brotherton. She was a graduate of the Kahoka High School.

Survivors include two sons, Stanley E. Olson and his wife, Irma, of Galesburg, IL and Harold D. Olson and his wife, Robin, of Omaha, NE; one daughter, Melisa Ann Hodges and her husband, David, of Salem, MO; a sister, Mabel Warren of Salem, MO; a brother, Edmond Brotherton of Fot Madison, IA; two half brothers: Marvin Brotherton and Paul Brotherton; one half sister, Karen Brotherton; step grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Maurice Tracy Shepler; as well as several siblings.

Marilyn was a Gold Star Wife. She belonged to the V.F. W. Auxiliary 5117 of Carthage, IL and was a charter member of the Eagles. Since moving to Salem, she was a volunteer in the Dent County Judicial Building since 1996. She had actively pursued family history for over 30 years.

A visitation will be held Monday, May 10, 2010 in Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel from 6 to 8 p.m.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. Tuesday at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka, MO with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at 11 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka, MO with burial following in the Neeper Cemetery.
