MARGUERITE L. WRIGHT

Marguerite L. Wright, age 91 of Wayland, MO, formerly of Alexandria, died

Friday, October 1, 2010 at Fort Madison Community Hospital in Fort Madison, IA.

She was born April 29, 1919 at Alexandria, a daughter of William and Blanche Arnold Jones.

She and James Rennaker were married on February 14, 1935. He preceded her in death on September 19, 1978. In December of 1980 she married Ola O. Wright who preceded her in death on September 1, 1990.

Survivors include: a son, Jack Rennaker and his wife, Cheryl, of Branson, MO; one daughter, Pearl Spurgeon and her husband, Gene, of Arnold, MO; a foster daughter, Patty Ann Brookhart and her husband, Herb, of Memphis, MO; four grandchildren: Vicki Miller of Deatsville, AL, James Spurgeon of Arnold, MO, Joseph Spurgeon and his wife, Heather, of Herculaneum, MO, and Michael Rennaker and his wife, Shannon, of Tarkio, MO; a foster granddaughter, Debbie Brookhart of Indianapolis, IN; ten great grandchildren: Lacy, Rachel, Olivia and Curtis Miller, Brenden, Kaleb, Madison and Mackenzie Spurgeon, and Janae and Aerin Rennaker; also several nieces and nephews and their families including Lucille Shipe of Warsaw, IL, who was raised in the home.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; one son, James Rennaker, in infancy; her grandmother, Pearl Faulkenberg; two sisters, Juanita Rennaker Ruffcorn of Warsaw, IL and Charlotte Gordon of Anderson, IN; and, three brothers: Wayne Jones of Wayland, MO, Ira Jones of Alexandria, MO and Kenneth Jones of Paducah, KY.

For many years Marguerite was bookkeeper for the former H. L. Green store in Keokuk and later was a clerk at Osco Drug. She was a faithful member of the Alexandria Baptist Church and dedicated to the church and to her Christian faith. She was also a member of Royal Neighbors of America.

Marguerite enjoyed assembling puzzles, all kinds of crafts, playing cards on the computer, playing Mexican train and Yahtzee with her family and friends,and growing flowers. She loved Christmas and made it a very big event in her family's life. Most of all, she was a loving mother and grandmother who loved freely and unconditionally.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 5, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at the Alexandria Baptist Church with Pastor Randy Ewart officiating. Burial was in the Frazee Cemetery, rural Alexandria.

Memorials are suggested to the Alexandria Baptist Church.
