Lori-ann Ewart

August 1, 1963 — March 14, 2026

Wayland

Lori-ann Ewart, 62, of Wayland, Missouri, passed away at her home Saturday morning, March 14, 2026, surrounded by her loving and devoted family.

She was born on August 1, 1963, in Keokuk, Iowa, to Joseph Albert and Sandra Elaine (Winters) Ewart. She was a 1981 graduate of Clark County High School. From High School Lori started working at the Clark County Nursing home in food service. From there she worked at Fruehauf and later worked as a packer for Armor Dial until she was injured.

Lori was happy when she was outdoors, whether she was casting a line in a pond, navigating trails on her four-wheeler, checking on the cows at the family farm, mushroom hunting, or patiently waiting in a deer stand.

Lori was known for her love of beekeeping, specifically along with her brother Randy. She enjoyed it so much that she became a founding member of the Northeast MO Beekeepers Association and also a member of the Missouri State Beekeepers Association . Lori-ann, along with her sister Gina, looked forward to going antiquing and attending auctions, keeping her eye out for marbles, stoneware, and other treasures as long as she could get a good bargain. She especially enjoyed visiting with their many friends that she and Gina made over the years in pursuing their passion of antiquing.

Lori was known for having a green thumb for flowers and garden plants, and she couldn’t wait for the season to change to plant her flowers and nurture them.

Family and church were important to Lori. She was faithful to her church, Alexandria Baptist Church (Alexandria, MO) and had a special heart for helping others. Lori-ann was a devoted daughter, sister, sister-in-law, and aunt, whose life was centered on her faith and her family.

Lori is survived by her mother Sandra Ewart, her brother Randy (Martha) Ewart of Wayland, MO., her sister Gina Ewart of Alexandria, MO., nieces and nephews Sean (Charity) Gorham of Burlington, IA., Hannah Ewart of Wayland, MO., Adam (Michele) Gorham of Fort Madison, IA., Katie (Zachary) Denham of Wayland, MO., great nieces and nephews Cora Gorham and Ian Gorham of Fort Madison, IA., Josephine Gorham and Jordan Gorham of Burlington, IA.
