LOIS E. WENDLING

Lois E. Wendling, age 84, of Kahoka, MO, died Wednesday, December 14, 2005,at the Clark Co. Nursing Home in Kahoka.

She was born June 30, 1921 at Kahoka, MO, a daughter of Cecil and Alma Gram Denham.

On September 28, 1941, she was united in marriage to Henry V. Wendling in Kahoka.

Survivors include her husband, Henry "Hank" Wendling, of Kahoka, MO; one son, Gary Wendling and his wife, Paula, of Kahoka, MO; one brother, Eugene Denham and his wife, Ruth, of Kahoka, MO; two sisters, Margaret Ranck and Eunice Buford and her husband, Harlan, all of Kahoka, MO; a sister-in-law, Betty Denham, of Kahoka, MO; an aunt, Irma Wendling of Donnellson, IA; three grandchildren: Doug Wendling and his wife, Megan, of Kahoka, MO, Gina Ramsey of Wayland, MO; and, Jamie Wendling and his wife, Kymberle-i, of Georgetown, KY; two step-grandchildren, Dawn Uhlmeyer and her husband, Darian, of Boise, ID, and Dani Adamson and his wife, Marianne, of Peculiar, MO; eight great grand-children: Madison Wendling, Jordan and Megan Ramsey, Brett, Brianne, Triston, and Kayden Uhlmeyer, and, Dalen Adamson; as well as nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald, and one in infancy; and a sister, Laverne Gram.

Lois attended the Lebanon country school as a youth, graduating from Kahoka High School in 1939. She worked for Luther Pohlmann at the former Benners grocery store for many years. She also did bookkeeping for the family business, Wendling Machine Shop, and raised dogs with Henry for many years.

She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Kahoka, and a former member of the chancel choir. She and Henry loved their friends and family and enjoyed getting together to play cards.

Funeral services are Friday, December 16, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Kahoka with Rev. Kenneth Beckmann officiaing.

Burial will follow in Kahoka Cemetery.

Friends can call after 10 a.m. Thursday at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. Memorials are suggested to St. Paul United Church of Christ.
