Lila J Ferguson

Lila J Ferguson, 86, of Kahoka, MO passed away peacefully Friday, February 23, 2024, at her home.  Lila was born on October 27, 1937, in Austin, Minnesota to Clyde and Mabel (Golliher) Butler.  She was united in marriage to Andrew Ferguson on November12, 1957, in St, Louis, Missouri, and he survives. 

Lila graduated from Kahoka High School and then went on to further her education with an associate degree from Quincy college. Lila was a bookkeeper for Andy’s Appliances for over 48 years working side by side with her husband Andy.  She was a very organized person and liked to keep everything in its place. She was a seamstress, and she quilted a lot of beautiful quilts over the years. She loved her Hoot Owls, she had quite a collection of them. You could go into any room of her home, and you would see an owl. Her family was important to her, and she loved to can and bake for them and their family gatherings.

 Lila is survived by her husband, 3 sons: Joe (Julia Mayes) Ferguson of Kahoka, MO, Dan Ferguson of Kahoka, MO, Steve (Pam Heger) Ferguson of Peoria, IL, 1 brother: Gilbert (Shirley) Butler of Troy, MO, 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, other relatives, and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 son: Andrew Ferguson, 2 daughters: Joanne Schoonover and Brenda Ferguson.

Funeral Services will be held for Lila Ferguson will be held Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at 12:00 pm at Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home, Kahoka, MO with burial in Kahoka Cemetery.  Pastor Dan Deatrick will officiate. Visitation will be held at the Wilson Triplett Funeral Home, February 28, 2024, from 11:00 am until time of service at noon.  Memorials in memory of Lila Ferguson are suggested to Kahoka Cemetery.
