Larry Arnold

Larry Wayne Arnold, 84, of Kahoka, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 8, 2025, at the Scotland County Hospital, in Memphis, Missouri with his family by his side.

Larry was born on December 5, 1940, in Alexandria, Missouri to Roscoe and Avice (Bryant) Arnold. He was a 1958 graduate of Clark County High School. On November 3, 1963, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Carolyn Sue Sisson in Kahoka, Missouri and she survives.

Larry was a lifelong cattleman and farmer, it was in his blood day and night. He was blessed to spend each day working side by side with his wife and sons. Larry found joy in watching his next generations embrace the latest research and technology to continue growing the agricultural legacy he built. Larry dreamed of being a cowboy at heart. He used to break his own horses during the winter months in the hay barn, a nod to both his grit and love of tradition. Larry and Carolyn are devoted members of St. Paul United Church of Christ, and were proud supporters of the 4-H, FFA, and their community. Larry appreciated all the friendships he made throughout his life. When you met Larry, you knew you had a friend for life. Larry’s Faith, Family and Farming were the most important things to him.

Larry is survived by his wife Carolyn of 61 years, his sons Jeffrey (Karen) Arnold of Kahoka, MO, Lance (Anita) Arnold of Kahoka, MO, his grandchildren Erick (Shaina) Arnold, Kelsey (Michael) Keane, Logan (Brooklyn) Arnold, Luke (Valerie) Arnold, Landon Arnold, and his precious great grandchildren Evelyn, Sawyer, Stetson Arnold, Kesler and Marshall Keane. Brothers and sisters-in-law Mark (Brenda) Sisson of Kahoka, MO, Kathy Roberts of Springfield, IL, Nancy (Terry) Winters of Kahoka, MO, Marla (Jay) Wilson of Alexandria, MO, Suzanne Arnold of Alexandria, MO, and other relatives and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws Murlin and Kerdonna Sisson, his brothers Jerry (Carmen) Arnold, Milton Arnold, his sisters LaQuita (J.W.) Joy, Jewell (John) Value, and Nadine (Donnie) Glasgow.

Funeral Services for Larry Wayne Arnold will be held Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 10:00 am at the St. Paul United Church of Christ, Kahoka, MO, with Rev. Dan Moore officiating. A private inurnment will be held at a later date at the Kahoka Cemetery. Visitation with family present will be held at the Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home, Monday, August 11, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Memorials in memory of Larry Arnold are suggested to St. Paul United Church of Christ or Clark County FFA.
