LAMBERT "L.D." CHRISTY

graduated from Taft High School in California and shortly after his family returned to Revere to the "Hardy Farm".

L. D. joined the U.S. Air Force at 18 years of age. During his service he was a Link Trainer instructing pilots to fly by assimilation.

On November 6, 1946, he was united in marriage to Bertha Mae Stewart at the Methodist Parsonage in Kahoka. Officiating was Rev. Monroe and their attendants were Floyd Elwell and Veva Oilar. They were blessed with two wonderful daughters, Veva and Tena.

At retirement, he was carrying for both Kahoka and Revere. The next twelve years he spent as a car salesmen in the Keokuk area.

More important to L.D. than anything, was his relationship with his Lord, Jesus Christ. He was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Wayland, MO, where he was a former Sunday School teacher, Choir Director, and Song Leader. In addition, he was a Deacon for many years. He had a love that illuminated through his personality that drew kids to him. He loved children, loved his friends, and loved his family. He enjoyed getting together with neighbors drinking coffee and sharing memories at the Revere Community Center.
