LAMAR N. HERSHBERGER

Lamar N. Hershberger, age 1, of rural Alexandria, MO, entered Heaven on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 in St. Louis Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, MO surrounded by his family.

Lamar was born March 21, 2017 at his home, the son of Nathan and Margaret Eicher Hershberger.

Survivors include his parents of the home; paternal grandparents, Daniel and Ella Miller Hershberger and maternal grandparents, John and Marie Burkholder Eicher, all of Alexandria; paternal great grandparents: Reuben and Marie Hershberger of Circleville, OH, John and Barbara Miller of Florida, maternal great grandparents: Peter and Wilma Burkholder of Alexandria and Paul and Lydia Eicher of Canton; great- great grandmother, Katie Beechy of Kenton OH; aunts and uncles: Viola and Melvin Lee of Bowling Green, and Harley, Andrew, Matthew, Reuben and Jason Hershberger all of Alexandria, Wilma and Melvin Yoder, Susan and Levi Gingerich, Jr., and Emma, Lorene, Amos, Mahlon and Christopher Eicher, all of Alexandria; as well as several great aunts and uncles, cousins, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his uncle, Wilmer Eicher.

Lamar was born with a Congenital Heart Disease and fought a very brave fight. Even with all of his health issues he was still a happy boy and amazed his nurses and family with his strength and ability to play games such as Patty Cake even with the physical restraints caused by his necessary medical equipment. He loved being outdoors, puppies and horses.

Funeral services for Lamar were held Friday, March 30, 2018 at 1 p.m. at the home of John Eicher with burial following in the Amish Cemetery.

The family was assisted by Wilson Funeral Home.
