Cindy Lou Leeper, 74, passed away at 11:27am, on Monday, December 29, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Cindy was born on December 2, 1951, in Moline, Iowa to Marlin and Etta (Starr) Stoneking. She married Jim McCarty and to this union they had two daughters, she later married Kent Leeper on April 7, 1990, in Wayland, he preceded her in death February 27, 2022, they together shared five children.
When Cindy became sick 2 years ago, she was being cared for and comforted by her 1st husband and friend Jim, her daughter Tammy, also Sara Wynn and Alicia Pagan. They were all caregivers for Cindy day and night. Cindy looked forward to going to yard sales, dancing especially to Elvis music, and trips to Colorado to see her family. She was an avid animal lover, but her dogs “Lady” and “Pepper” were special to her heart. To relax she enjoyed sitting on her deck with a cup of coffee and watching her precious grandchildren. Her family was the most important thing to her.
Cindy is survived by her daughters Sherry (Ken) Slominski of Colorado Springs, CO., Tammy (David Markell) McCarty of Wayland, MO., Jennifer Ludwig of Keokuk, IA., her sons Gregory (Vickie) Leeper of Keokuk, IA., Randy (Aerial) Leeper of Wayland, MO., her grandchildren Dalton (Sara Wynn) McCarty, Amanda (Mike) Callis, Erika (Paul) Jenness, Kenny (Ellie) Slominski, Sarah (Corbin) Murrow, Shaide (Rick) Stoermen, Cole Leeper, her precious great grandchildren Leon Slominski, Amelia Slominski, Aurora Murrow, Dre Clark, Brayden Farrel, Aubrie Farrel and other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Kent, and her siblings.
Funeral Services for Cindy Lou Leeper will be held Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at 11:00 am at Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home, Kahoka, MO with burial at the Kahoka Cemetery. Pastor Dan Deatrick will officiate.

Visitation with family present will be held at the Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home, Tuesday, January 6, 2026, from 10:00 am until time of service 11:00 am. Memorials in memory of Cindy Leeper are suggested to the Kahoka Cemetery and may be left or mailed to the Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home.
