She was born on April 18, 2011, in Joplin, Missouri. The daughter of Nicholas Glidden and Jessica (Bass) Glidden.
Kai was a 9th-grader student at Clark County High School in Kahoka Missouri, where her bright smile and kind heart made every day better for those around her. Kai was very shy and private but once she got to know you, she was at ease with your friendship.

She looked forward to performing at concerts and marching. She has a collection of cats and bats, which were a few of her many treasures and her favorite color was pink. Kai had a soft spot for animals, and her desire was to be a veterinarian.
