KATHRYN G. ROBINSON Kathryn G. Robinson, age 94, formerly of Kahoka and most recently of Wayland, MO, passed away peacefully Friday, June 30, 2012, at River Hills Village in Keokuk, IA where she had resided the past four years. Kathryn was born January 25, 1918 in Murphysboro, IL, a daughter of Nicholas and Gertrude Weber Maes. In April of 1940, she was united in marriage to Richard Robinson in Murphysboro. He preceded her in death on June 5, 1974. Survivors include four sons, James (Rita) Robinson of Jonesboro, GA, Robert (Cathy) Robinson of Raleigh, NC, Charles (Mary) Robinson of Cordova, TN, and Daniel Robinson of Wayland, MO; two daughters, Karen (Mrs. Bob) Gaston of Summersville, MO and Jan Bourgeois of Kahoka, MO; daughter-in-law, Betty Robinson of Perry, GA; brother-in-law Leo Robinson of Carbondale, IL; sisters-in-law Kate Maes of Murphysboro, IL and Betty Robinson of Enterprise, AL; several grandchildren including Marie (Mrs. Kraig) Spence of Columbia, MO and Chris (Dena) Plant and Bethany Bourgeois Davis, all of Kahoka, MO; and several great-grandchildren including Olivia and Will Plant and Brody Davis, all of Kahoka, MO; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, John Robinson; son-in-law, Benny Bourgeois; four brothers: Frank, Paul, Hank and William Maes; brothers-in-law, G.W. and Joe Robinson; and sister-in-law, Marguerite Robinson. Kathryn was a housewife all of her life. She enjoyed caring for her family and enjoyed knitting. She was a member of St. Andrews parish in Murphysboro, IL and attended the Evangelical Free Church in Keokuk, IA. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 6, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. at Pettit Funeral Home in Murphysboro, IL. Burial will follow in St. Andrew's Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the Pettit Funeral Home. Memorials in lieu of flowers are suggested to the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society. The family was assisted locally by Wilson Funeral Home.
