Jasmine Renee Fox, 25, of Canton, MO passed away unexpectedly at 6:04 p.m., Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at Blessing Hospital.  Jasmine and her twin sister Scarlett were born on March 3, 1999, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. to Scott Fox and Sherry Powers.  She was engaged on November 22, 2018, to Joseph Hightower, and he survives. 

Jasmine graduated from Clark Co High School in 2017. Jasmine was employed by the Lewis County Nursing in Canton, MO for the last 2 years. She worked very hard at her job and appreciated the friendships that she made. Jasmine was excited to be starting her education to become a nurse starting on March 18. Jasmine loved the color purple, sea turtles, collecting Stanley cups and relaxing with a good book. Her family was important to her, she deeply cared for all of her brothers and sisters. Her biggest joy was being a mother to her daughter Nora, who was her whole world. Nora would climb up into Jasmine’s muu-muu and snuggle, calling her own nightgown “my muu-muu” Jasmine would often exclaim her adoration for Nora, “Oh I am so lucky to be your Mama!” Jasmine was also the biggest Golden Girls fan and watched the movie Twister almost daily, she enjoyed it so much. Jasmine was dedicated to her weekly “Margs at Mexican” with her twin sister Scarlett. You would never see her without a Lotus in her hand. Jasmine was a caring and loving person.  She loved everyone and wanted no one to go without.  Jasmine and Joseph had a love like no other. Jasmine and Scarlett were anxiously anticipating watching sea turtles being hatched in Galveston, TX., Also, another trip was being planned to New York with Joseph and Nora.  Her presence and kind heart will be forever missed.

 Jasmine is survived by her fiancé Joseph Hightower, her father: Scott (Sarah Stark) Fox, 1 daughter: Nora Camille Fox-Hightower, 3 brothers: Quintin Starks, Zebulon Fox, Ebeneezer Fox, 3 sisters: her twin sister Scarlett Fox, Zerelda Fox, Ricochet Fox, aunts and uncles: Misty (Patrick) Schumacher, Ronnie (Brandi) Fox II, Owen (Sue Rodgers) Fox, and Terry Christy, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Jasmine also had several cousins who were more like siblings; Trey Christy and his son Owen “Owie” Christy; Heather (Josh) Magruder, Russell, Riley, and Remi Magruder; Brittany (Keith) Snyder, and Clayton Snyder, as well as Alabaster, (the only dog Jasmine ever liked); Cruze Fox, Kaidance, Hayden, Annabelle, and Samson Fox; Ronald Fox III (Faith Hathaway); Chandler Schumacher, Olivia, Faith, and Clifford Fox, Justin, Shelby Tucker, Ashlyn, and Karagen Rodgers, and other beloved maternal family members. She also deeply loved Dana McSorley, her “work mom”, and Jeanne Smith her mom’s best friend.

She was preceded in death by her infant son, Graham Joseph Fox-Hightower, her mother: Sherry Powers, grandparents: Ronnie and Betsy Fox, Marvin Powers and Catherine Moore, 1 sister: September Fox, 2 aunts: Michelle Fox, Sue Henson, and other family members.

Funeral Services for Jasmine Fox will be held Friday, March 22, 2024 at 10:00 am at the Wilson & Triplett funeral Home Kahoka, Mo. Burial at the Oakwood Cemetery Hamilton, Il.  Pastor Nate McCarter will officiate. Visitation will be held at the Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home with family present from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, March 21, 2024. Memorials in memory of Jasmine Renee Fox are suggested to Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home, Checks payable to Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home.
