James Dunn

James “Jim” Richard Dunn, 87 of Kahoka, MO passed away at 12:25 am on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Boone County Hospital in Columbia, MO.

He was born on June 25, 1936 in Clark County, MO.  The son of Raymond A. & Ethel Mae (Eagon) Dunn. Jim was united in marriage to Marion Eleanor (Nelson) Dunn on September 19, 1954 in Kahoka, MO. and she preceded in him in death on March 9, 2019.

Before retirement Jim was a Director of Services for children’s home and was also in the Army Reserve. After retirement Jim enjoyed riding his E-Bike around town with his helment on and with a broad smile.  He was a huge fan of the St. Louis Cardinals watching the games, listening to the games and the big-highlight’s was being able to attend several of the games. He was a family man and enjoyed special times with his children, grandchildren, and friends.  He appreciated the friendships that he made in the community. 

He is survived by his 4 sons; Jamie (Janet) Dunn of New Mexico, Jon (Laurinda) Dunn of Texas, Jeremy (Tera) Dunn of Illinois and Joel (Nancy) Dunn of Texas,  a sister; Rebecca (Joe) McGraw of Arizonia;10 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his Wife,  infant son Jerome Dunn; and a sister Barbara Price.

In accordance with Jim's wishes, his remains were donated for medical research purposes. There will be no visitation or services.  The Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home of Kahoka has been entrusted with the care and arrangements.
