HELEN M. EWING

Helen M. Ewing, age 94, of Lancaster, TX, formerly of Williamstown, MO, died Wednesday, December 24, 2003 in Texas.

She was born April 21, 1909 in DeSoto, TX, a daughter of John W. and Sudie Ground Bailey.

She was married to Rowe B. Ewing who preceded her in death in 1981.

Survivors include two sons, Billy Worley and his wife, Peggy, of Arlington, TX and Burt Ewing and his wife, Mona, of Red Oak, TX; one brother, Woodrow Bailey and his wife, Jean, of Arkansas; a sister-in-law, Madeline Ewing of Memphis, MO; four grandchildren, Stephen Worley, Tobi Jackson, Eric Ewing and Amy Likens; 9 great- grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Lawrence and J. W. Bailey; and, two sisters, Rosa Lee Biggs and Opal Dawson.

Helen was raised in Texas and following her marriage to Rowe, resided near Williamstown, MO where she raised her children. Rowe was a farmer and Helen enjoyed being a farm wife, working outdoors, cooking for farm workers and extended family. She had beautiful flower gardens and raised and bred iris. She always enjoyed being with friends,neighbors and family. Following Rowe's death, she returned to Texas where she was a loyal member of the Beltline at Main Church of Christ in Lancaster.

Funeral services were held Saturday, December 27, 2003 at 9 a.m. at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel in Lancaster, TX. Graveside services were held Tuesday, December 30, 2003 at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Gorin, MO with Rev. Ernest Deatrick officiating with

burial following.

Pallbearers were Lee Lemmon, Rex Nelson, Jim Lillard, Keith Logsdon, Wayne Welker, and Stanley Welker.

Visitation was held from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka withfamily present during that time. Memorials were suggested to the Pleasant Grove Cemetery or to Parkinson's Foundation. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.timeformemory.com/wilsonfh.
