Glenda "Kandi" Branson

Glenda "Kandi" Branson, age 68, formerly of Revere, MO, passed away on Monday, October 15, 2018 in Unity Point Hospital in Keokuk, IA.
Kandi was born April 14, 1950 in Keokuk, IA, a daughter of Glen B. and Mona Hileman Johnson.
She graduated from Keokuk High School in 1968. On October 12, 1969, she was united in marriage to Russell Owen Branson in the Melrose United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Lori (Douglas) Branson-Twyman of Henderson, NV; step-mother, Margueriette Johnson of Donnellson, IA; three grandchildren: Rowan, Erick, and Joslyn Twyman; siblings, Todd Johnson of Keokuk, IA and Joyce (Scott) Young of Donnellson, IA; step-sisters and step-brother: Cheryl (Tom) Baker of Fort Madison, IA, Gerald Woodley of Donnellson, IA, and Donna (John) Childress of Murray, KY; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Ernest (Deloris) Branson of Kahoka, MO, Ellen Crandall of Lewistown, MO, Charlotte "Susan" (Carl) Davis of St. Patrick, MO, Shirley (Jim) McCoy of Kahoka, MO, Nancy (Gary) Brummer of Shelbyville, MO and Carol (Craig) Picton of Keokuk, IA; Amy Stewart of Luray and her children, Jakobie, Hannah, Kyra, Keegan, Graydon, Larkyn, Eleena, Kahlee, Raylee, and grandchild, Jalaina, who all were as close as family to Kandi; as well as nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Robert; one brother; and, one sister.
Kandi was a retired employee of the Clark Co. Nursing Home, employed there from 1994 until July of 2015. She was a member of Anson Community Church and loved her church family.
Kandi was living with her daughter and family in Nevada. She had returned to the area for her 50th class reunion in September and due to a fall and circumstances following, had not yet returned to Nevada.
Kandi liked horseback riding and enjoyed the "Big Bang Theory" and western shows. She enjoyed traveling and her most recent trip to Florida where she got to swim with the dolphins. Family gatherings at the "farm" meant everything to her and Russ.
A Celebration of Life with inurnment was held Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 12:30 p.m. in the Anson Cemetery with words of comfort provided by Mr. Rod Livesay.
Memorials are suggested to the Anson Cemetery.
