FRANCIS D. ST. CLAIR
Francis D. St. Clair, age 60, of Williamstown, MO, died Friday, April 1, 2005 as the result of a one vehicle motor vehicle accident north of LaBelle, MO.
He was born October 3, 1944 at rural Wyaconda, MO, a son of Chester and Virginia Bevans St. Clair.
He married Linda Thacher and they were the parents of Emmett and Carla.
Survivors include a daughter, Carla Jacobs and her husband, Steffan, of Omaha, AR; his parents, Chester and Virginia St. Clair of Wyaconda, MO; three grandchildren: Lucas and Hannah Metcalf and Riley Jacobs; one brother, Albert St. Clair and his wife, Louise, of Wyaconda, MO; four sisters: Zola Starkey and her husband, Ronnie, of Burlington, IA, Nancy Webster and her husband, Gary, of Wyaconda, MO, Geneva Tinkle and her husband, Larry, of Memphis, MO and Terry Kerr and her husband, Kevin, of Arbela, MO; aunts and uncles: Noel Wayne and Juanita St. Clair of Canton, MO, Betty St. Clair of Kahoka, MO, Margaret Briscoe of Gladstone, IL, and Betty Sawyer of Kahoka, MO; a great aunts, Opal Priebe of Farmington, IA and Wilma Bowls of Canton,MO; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Emmett D. St. Clair in 1993 and an infant son in 1970.
Francis graduated from Wyaconda High School and then served in the U. S. Army.
He loved the outdoors and made his living farming, selling and buying livestock and operating as a hunting guide in the fall. He was a member of South Wyaconda Baptist Church, of the Clark Co. Moose and Ayer-Boatman Post # 4342, V. F. W. He truly loved people and valued the friendships he made. He enjoyed having coffee and visiting with friends in local restaurants.
Funeral services are Monday, April 4, 2005 at 10 a.m. at South Wyaconda Baptist Church with Rev. Dan Deatrick officiating assisted by Pastor Mark Chinnis.
Burial will be in Ballard Cemetery
Friends can call after 1 p.m. on Sunday at Wilson Funeral Home with family receiving friends 6-8 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the Veterans Administration Hospital, Columbia, MO.
