Eugene George Mohr

Eugene George Mohr, 87, of rural Kahoka, was received into the loving embrace of His Savior at 9:21 pm on Wednesday, October 22, 2025.

Gene was born to Theodore and Francis née Martin Mohr on February 6, 1938, in the farmhouse in which he lived his entire life. A 1955 graduate of Kahoka High School, Gene enlisted in the Army and served for 6 years active and reserve duty before returning to assist his father on the farm. A lifelong bachelor, Gene dedicated himself to service in the community and at his church – St. Paul UCC.

Gene is survived by his sister-in-law, Neva (née Clark) Mohr of Bryan, TX; brother, Gale (Mary) of Valley Park, MO; and sister, Marilyn (Mark) Cannon of Willowbrook, IL; nieces and nephews Patti (Nello) Carr of College Station, TX; Michelle (Ron) Steedly of College Station, TX; Cheryl (Jeff) Murski of Bryan, TX; Michael of Springfield, IL; Tori (Tom) Lindsley of Hamilton, MI; Teri (Wade) Wegner of Redmond, WA; and Matthew (Lindsay) of Ballwin, MO, and many, many great and great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother, Esther née Martin Mohr; brother, Theodore J. Mohr, infant brothers Donald and Delbert, and nephew, Bryan Mohr.

Funeral Services for Eugene Mohr will be held Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 11:00 am at the St Paul United Church of Christ, Kahoka, MO, with Rev. Dan Moore officiating. Burial with Full Military Rites Post 192, VFW 4342 at the St Paul Cemetery, Kahoka, MO. Visitation with family present will be held at the St. Paul United Christ Church, Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 9:30 am until time of service at 11:00 am.
