KAHOKA

Dorothy Lucille “Lucy” Lyon, 86, of Kahoka, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at the Clark County Nursing Home, Kahoka, Missouri.

Lucille was born on April 5, 1939, in Williamstown, Missouri, to William Lloyd and Carmelita Hazel (Suter) Nichols. She was united in marriage to Edwin Wayne “Red” Lyon on June 30, 1957, in Wyaconda, Missouri and he preceded her in death on May 25, 1994.

Lucy was employed by Sheller-Globe/Henniges, retiring after several years. Lucy enjoyed cooking & baking, she baked many birthday and wedding cakes for family and friends. In her younger years she enjoyed traveling, camping, & square dancing. Later in life she looked forward in spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Clark County Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution.

Dorothy Lucille is survived by a son: Roger (Leslie) Lyon of Palmyra, MO, her daughters: Debbie (Alan) Smith of Luray, MO, Diana (Leland) Ridgely of Kahoka, MO, Mary (Charlie) Corvaia of Frisco, TX, a sister: Louise Morehouse of Kahoka, MO, sister-in-law: Joyce Proce of AZ, her precious grandchildren: Cody Smith, Sean (Tayler) Smith, Mitzie (Kevin) Pitford, Michael (Michele) StClair, Leslie (Travis) Wixom, Lindsay (Zach) Burris, Leana (David) Lyon, Kayla Florea, Josh Lyon, Michael (Deanna) Lyon, Abigail Lyon, Justin Corvaia, Steven Corvaia , several great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother in infancy Kenneth Nichols, a sister Hazel Morehouse, brothers and sister-in-law: Marvin Morehouse, Floyd Morehouse, Elvin Lyon and Kay Lyon.

Graveside Services for Dorothy “Lucy” Lyon will be held Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 10:00 am at the Combs Cemetery, Luray, Missouri. Pastor Shawn McAfee will officiate. Memorials in memory of Dorothy Lyon are suggested to the Combs Cemetery or Clark County Senior Center, and may be left at the Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home, Kahoka, MO.
