Dennis M. Regan, 77, of Kahoka, passed away at 5:25pm, on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at home with his family and friends by his side.
He was born on November 24, 1947, to Beulah (Close) Regan and Francis E. Regan. Denny grew up in Kahoka and lived there most of his life. He graduated from Kahoka High School in 1965. He served in the United States Navy from 1967-1971 on a ship that supplied ports in Vietnam. During that time, he was exposed to Agent Orange, which contributed to health problems he suffered later in his life. After his honorable discharge from the Navy, he worked for various road construction companies, Kaser Corporation quarry, Sheller-Globe, and others. He was an active member of Kahoka’s VFW post for many years.
Denny loved his family, his many friends, his dogs, watching car races, and growing corn. He loved watching his grandson Jack play sports. Denny helped care for his mother in her last years, and he was a cherished friend to his sister.
Denny was preceded in death by his parents, aunts, a son (Deon Regan), former wife, Vickie (Yancy), and many dear lifelong friends. He is survived by his daughter, Mikki Regan of Kahoka, Missouri; a son, Gage (Amanda Young) Regan of Kahoka, Missouri; and grandsons, Jackson, Joe, and Jacob. He is also survived by his sister, Rosemary (Regan-Gavin), and brother-in-law, Gary (Gavin) of Iowa City, Iowa.
