Delbert T McKannan

Delbert T. McKannan, 82 of Gillette, Wyoming, passed away at 11:22 am on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois, with his family by his side.

Delbert was born in Princeton, Indiana on December 15, 1941, to Delbert H. and Lucille V. McKannan. Delbert graduated from Princeton High School. On August 19, 1965, he was united in marriage to Marjorie (Sandstrom) McKannan in Chicago, IL and she preceded him in death.

Delbert at the age of 20, started working for the oil fields. That was a job that was in his blood, and he loved it. He worked for several oil companies and retired in 1999. He enjoyed Fishing, Deer and Elk hunting especially with his kids. Delbert was a hard-working man but a simple man who loved the outdoors. 

He is survived by 2 sons: Carl (Angela) McKannan of Alexandria, Missouri, Mike McKannan of Gillette, Wyoming, 1 daughter: Christy (Brad) Reynolds of Rozet, Wyoming, 1 brother: Danny (Sherry) Turpin, 1 sister: Carol Sue both of Indiana, 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Delbert was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, 1 son: Tommy, 2 sisters: Eva and Linda, and 1 grandchild: Rodney.
