Debbie graduated from Clark County High School, with the Class of 1966. She was united in marriage to Henry W. Dienst on February 14, 1970 at the Alexandria Presbyterian Church and he survives. Debbie joined Henry in Tucson, AZ while he was stationed at the Davis-Monthan Air Force base. Upon their return to rural Alexandria, Debbie was busy supporting Henry on the Dienst farm and in being a stay-at-home mom to their three sons.
Debbie was a talented singer and known for her amazing rendition of The Lord’s Prayer. At a young age she took voice lessons with her older sister, Cheryl and cousin Janice. The three were well known for their three-part harmony. Debbie was always active in her church choirs wherever she attended. Debbie was very proud of her sons and encouraged and supported them in all of their sports and band activities. Shuttling them back and forth to practices, games, concerts, parades and more. Her support and encouragement continued with her grandchildren as they were her pride and joy. Debbie taught elementary physical education at Running Fox Elementary, retiring after teaching for more than 30 years.
A devoted follower of Christ, Debbie was very active in the life of the churches she attended, most recently the Southern Baptist Fellowship in Wayland, MO. We find comfort that she is now at peace in the arms of her savior.
