Danny O. Scharfenberg

Danny O. Scharfenberg, age 45, of Kahoka, MO, died unexpectedly on Friday, October 16, 2015 in the emergency room of Scotland Co. Memorial Hospital in Memphis.

Danny was born May 25, 1970 at Hermann, MO, a son of Eddie A. and Violet M. Kreftmeyer Scharfenberg.

He was united in marriage to Jody R. Young on July 23, 1999 at Kahoka.

Survivors include his wife, Jody, of the home; his mother, Violet Scharfenberg of Union, MO; in-laws, Joe and Betty Young of Kahoka, MO; two children, Damien J. and Destiny R. Scharfenberg, both of the home; a sister, Stacy Scharfenberg of Union, MO; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Tracy (Bill) Printy and Terry Young, all of Kahoka, Chris (Carla) Young of Wayland; nieces and nephews and their families: Kelsie (James) Collins, Shaila Sturm (Scott Bagent) and Aliah, Shian Sturm (Kevin Benedict), all of Kahoka, Brittany (Rodney) Kirchoff and Layne of Higginsville, MO, Bryan Young (Cynthia Adams), Tyler Brammer and Dillan Brammer, all of Wayland; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eddie A. Scharfenberg, and grandparents.

Danny attended school in Union, MO. He was an employee of Industrial Opportunities in Kahoka and also worked hard for his family and throughout his neighborhood caring for their yards and doing odd jobs. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals, Nascar, and Rams fan. He loved attending whatever events and sports his children were involved in. His kids were # one in his life, including his nieces and nephews whom he dearly loved, and his dog, Dakota, and bunny, Fluffy.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka with Rev. Dixie Laube officiating. Special music included: "Simple Man" and "Life Is Beautiful". Burial followed in the Kahoka Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Scott Bagent, Brian Orzoco, James Collins, Rodney Kirchoff, Bryan Young and Tony Palmer.

Friends called at Wilson Funeral Home after 9 a. m. Monday with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m.
