CHARLES E. STEWART Charles E. Stewart, age 84, of Kahoka, MO, died Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at the Clark Co. Nursing Home in Kahoka. Charles was born October 14, 1927 near Revere, MO, a son of Samuel E. and Mary Kinard Stewart. He had been married to Norma Edlen and they were the parents of four children. Survivors include two sons, James (Patti) Stewart of Elkhorn, NE and Bill (Marcia) Stewart of Kahoka, MO; a daughter, Charlene (Mrs. Donald) Robbins of Sand Springs, OK; twelve grandchildren: John (Tammie) Oilar of Kahoka, MO, Mike (Naty) Oilar of San Antonio, TX, Lance (Chanda Ekker) Waddell of LasVegas, NV, Lane Waddell of Sand Springs, OK, Lync (Jane) Fellows of Keokuk, IA, Michele (Mrs. Henry) Fick of Batesville, AR, Jay (Kim) Stewart of Montrose, IA, Beth ((Mrs. Tim) Kelly of Lewiston, ME, Matt (Jelissa) Stewart of Wapello, IA, Alex Stewart of Elkhorn, NE, Tim (Dorian) Stewart of Hannibal, MO and Doug (Val) Stewart of Camp Point, IL; twenty-two great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; as well as nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Dena Pfeiferling, who passed away earlier the same day; two brothers, Wayne and Walter Stewart; and, two sisters, Twila Reid and Marie Miller. Charlie was employed for nearly twenty years at Green Valley Seed Co. in Kahoka and retired from the dredging division of Diamond Services in Louisiana where he was a crane operator. He loved to fish, read western novels, and sit outside visiting with his neighbors at Eastgate Apartments. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his children and grandchildren. Memorial services for Charles and his daughter, Dena, were held jointly Saturday, February 11, 2012, 2:00 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka with Pastor Herb Doty officiating. Inurnment followed in the Kahoka Cemetery. Memorials for Charles Stewart are suggested to Hospice of Northeast Missouri or the Donors Choice.
