Charles Leonard Price, age 75, of Kahoka, MO, died Saturday, March 30, 2013 in Keokuk Area Hospital, Keokuk, IA.

Charles was born March 21, 1938 at Eolia, MO, a son of Daniel W. and Mazie Mae Sharp Price.

He married Virginia Sackman LeMaster on September 18, 1971 at Alexandria, MO.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia, of the home; one son, Dwayne Price of Kahoka, MO; two daughters, Tammy McDaniel-Ramsey and her husband, Tony, of Kahoka, MO and Terry Howell and her husband, David, of Canton (Clark Co.) MO; seven grandchildren: Matthew McDaniel of Kahoka, MO, Mandy (Mrs. Andrew) Gessling of Columbia, MO, Shane McDaniel and Marcus McDaniel both of Keokuk, IA, Shawn (Amy) Howell of Alexandria, MO and Ellie and Ava Price both of Quincy, IL; three great-grandchildren: Mason McDaniel of Kahoka, MO and Grady and Parker Howell both of Alexandria, MO; two brothers, William Price of Atlantic, IA and Jerry (Donna) Price of Keokuk, IA; two sisters, Mildred Frederick of Yuma, AZ and Juanita (Mrs. Lester) Poe of Willow Springs, MO; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Mary Price of Sparks, NV, Carol Price of Rochester, MN, Raymond and Megan Sackman of Bonnie, IL, Frank Sackman of Alexandria, MO, Darlene Allison of Keokuk, IA and Mary (Mrs. Gary) LeMaster of Alexandria, MO; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dwayne and Dora Altmeier; a son-in-law, Randy McDaniel; and, two brothers, Danny and Bob Price.

Charles was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He worked in construction in earlier years, retiring from Keokuk Steel Castings. He loved to read, especially westerns, and was a huge fan of westerns on television. He also enjoyed cartoons with his granddaughters and having all of his grand kids around. He spent his last birthday one week ago with a party held on his behalf with his children and grandchildren at the Clark Co. Nursing Home and enjoying the cake, presents, and time together with family.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka with Pastor Shawn McAfee officiating.

Burial with military honors will follow in the Kahoka Cemetery.

Friends may call at Wilson Funeral Home after noon on Monday with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the Randy McDaniel Relay for Life team.
