Charlene LaRae Gregory

Charlene LaRae Gregory, 72, of Kahoka, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her family.

Charlene was born on March 15, 1953, in Kirksville, Missouri to Charles and Maxine (Shaffer) Remington. Charlene graduated from Clark County High School in 1971. On November 30, 1974, Charlene was united in marriage to David Gregory at the St Paul Church, Kahoka, MO, and he survives.

Charlene loved her flower garden and even welcomed wild flowers. She enjoyed bird watching, crafting, and animals of all kinds especially her dogs, Franklin and Luna. She had fun collecting rocks and would be known to check out any parking lots that had rocks. Charlene was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and friend. She enjoyed people and always had a smile no matter what the day brought. Her family was important to her and looked forward to being together.

Charlene is survived by her husband of 50 years David, her children Dustin (Lisa) Gregory, Mellissa Gregory, Kara Gregory all of Kahoka, MO, 2 grandchildren Rheagan (Hayden) Collins, Riley Gregory, 3 great grandchildren Paisleigh, Kalannah, Joseph, her sister Jillene (Charles) York of Neosho, MO, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws Richard and Lucille Gregory, and a brother Rod Remington.

According to her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Visitation with family present will be held Friday, July 11, 2025, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at the Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home, Kahoka, MO. Family will be having a meal and a Celebration of Life on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 11:30 am in the St Paul Church basement, Kahoka, MO, Rev Dan Moore will assist with the Celebration of Life. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
