Buffy Anderson

Buffy Sue Anderson, age 39, of rural Revere, MO, died unexpectedly Tuesday, October 23, 2012 in Blessing Hospital at Quincy, IL.

She was born November 15, 1972 in Keokuk, IA, a daughter of Charles L. and Rita
Coons Sherwood. She married Shawn Anderson and they were the parents of Dakota and Shayla.

Survivors include her children, Dakota and Shayla Anderson, both of Revere, MO; a step-son, Jerry McGee of Keokuk, IA; her mother, Rita Sherwood (Ralph Ball) of Kahoka, MO; grandmother, Lola Coons of Canton, MO; three sisters: Pamela (Mrs. Rick) Byrn of Kahoka, MO, Debbie Shannon (John Campbell) of Wayland, MO, and Janet Sherwood of Kahoka, MO;
nieces and nephews and their children: Jessica (Mrs. Craig) McDowell of Kahoka, MO, Amy King of St Charles, MO, Erick Byrn of Memphis, MO, Daniel Shannon and Melanie Shannon, both of Kahoka, MO, Sierra Shannon of Wayland, MO, Rayburn Turnbull of Fort Madison, IA and Alton Kramer of Keokuk, IA; aunts and uncles: Wanda Pearl of Canton, MO, Jim (Nina) Coons of Kahoka, MO, Reva (Mrs. Jeff) Brunk of Revere, MO, and Jackie (Marilyn) Coons and Brenda (Mrs. Mike) Quigley, all of Canton, MO; as well as cousins and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her father in 1975 and her grandparents: Leroy Coons and Glen and Beulah Sherwood.

Buffy worked most of her life in the restaurant business in the Kahoka area and the past several years was employed at Cookies. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wayland where she was baptized. She was a huge stock racing fan, particularly when her son, Dakota, was driving. Being a mom was the highlight of her life. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother and aunt and was a second mom to a lot of people. She enjoyed life and playing
pranks on others. Her joy easily spread to those around her.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka with Pastor Shawn McAfee and Rev. Dan Deatrick officiating. Burial will follow in the Providence Cemetery.

Friends may call at Wilson Funeral Home after 9 a.m. Friday with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m.

Memorials are suggested for her children's education. Checks may be made payable to Rita Sherwood.
