Bonnie Jean Bogguss, age 81, of St. Francisville, MO, died Thursday, May 10, 2012 in Keokuk Area Hospital.

Bonnie was born October 10, 1930 at St. Francisville, a daughter of Claude Leroy and Carrie Belle Pence Kinkeade.

She and Howard Junior Bogguss were married in 1954 in Eolia, MO, and had been married 48 years when he passed away on June 2, 2002.

Survivors include a daughter, Iva Sue Erlandsend and her husband, Steve, of St. Francis-ville, MO; a son, Mark Bogguss of St. George, UT; four grandchildren: Jason Malone and girl friend, Alyssa Todd, of St. Francisville, MO; Scott Smith of St. Francisville, MO, Tiffiny Towne of St. Francis-ville, MO and her boy friend, Darren Queale of Adelaide, Australia; and, Valli Bogguss of St. Francisville, MO; a brother-in-law, Edwin Bogguss of Kahoka, MO; two cousins, Natalie Kinkeade of St. Francisville, MO and JoAnn Hoover of Idaho; several nieces and nephews and their families; also many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Lawrence N. Kinkeade and his wife, Wanda, and one in infancy; and a sister, Icel L. Neves and her husband, Joseph L. Neves.

Bonnie was a 1948 graduate of Kahoka High School and a 1949 graduate of Quincy Beauty Academy. She operated her own beauty shop in Wayland for fourteen years when she closed due to health problems. Later she worked for Dr. Channing in Kahoka for six years until his retirement.

Bonnie was a member of the St. Francisville United Methodist Church and of the Clematis Garden Club. She was a member of the Oat's Committee and was recognized as Volunteer of the Year in 2008.

Bonnie loved shopping, going out to eat, and visiting with her many friends and neighbors. She treasured her children and grandchildren together with her little dog, Kia.

Graveside services were held Monday, May 14, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. at the Sand Cemetery in St. Francisville, MO with Rev. Dan Deatrick officiating.

Visitation was Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Wilson Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the family.
