BOBBY LEON COCHENOUR

Bobby Leon Cochenour, age 51, of Kahoka, MO, died Friday, May 28, 2010 in the Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal, MO.

He was born July 29, 1958 at Keokuk, IA, a son of Ross and Mary Owen Cochenour.

Survivors include his mother, Mary Cochenour of Kahoka, MO; one son, Levi Daniel Cochenour of Kahoka, MO; three brothers: Billy Cochenour of Newton, IA, James Cochenour and his wife, Leah, of Morrill, KS, and Samuel Cochenour and his companion, Loretta Byrn, of Revere, MO; one sister, Evelena Sutterfield and her husband, Greg, of Kahoka, MO; nieces and nephews: Billy and Johnny Cochenour, Ethan, Starla and Anna Cochenour, Matthew Cochenour and Justin Byrn, Amee Jones, and Tara and Emily Sutterfield; two great- nieces, Adison and Hali Jones; uncles and aunts: Bob and Helen Owen and Bill Owen all of Kahoka, and Alta Esterday of Pain Rock, TX; as well as cousins and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father; an infant brother, Nathan; and grandparents:

Earl and Fern Owen and Nate and Marie Cochenour.

Bobby graduated from Kahoka High School. He enjoyed playing his guitar and listening to music, especially rock and roll. He was always messing with electrical equipment to try and make the amplifiers even louder much to the dismay of some family members. He was a loving, patient and good hearted person. He had been a caretaker for his grandmother in her final years, always treating her with care and compassion. He always put others ahead of himself.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 10 a.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka with Rev. Fred Starling officiating. Burial was in the Kahoka Cemetery.

Memorials were suggested to the family.
