ANNETTA M. SISSON
Annetta M. Sisson, age 79 of Kahoka, MO, died Monday, January 3, 2005 at the home of her daughter, Dixie Fisher, in Modesto, CA.
She was born August 7, 1925 in Medill, MO, a daughter of John Oliver and Edna May Martin Murray.
On September 8, 1946, she was united in marriage to Richard L. "Dick" Sisson who preceded her in death on February 19, 2004.
Survivors include three daughters, Dixie Fisher, Barbara Sisson, and Janice Davis and her husband, Ted, all of Modesto, CA; two grandchildren, Alec and Alainna Davis; a special friend who was like a granddaughter to her, Miriam Suter of Wyaconda, MO; a sister, Mrs. Imogene Heidbreder of Fort Madison, IA and brother-in-law, Gail Ludwick of Kahoka, MO; as well as nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister, Dorothy Ludwick; and brother-in-law, Bob Heidbreder.
Annetta graduated from Luray High School in 1942. She was converted at an early age and joined the Cumberland Presbyterian Church at Medill, later being baptized into Luray Baptist Church. When Annetta and Dick moved to Kahoka, they transferred their membership to the First Baptist Church and recently had been attending Bible Baptist Church in Kahoka. Through the years she had served as a Sunday School teacher, clerk, treasurer, pianist, choir member, and was very active in WMU.
She was a former member of the Luray Elementary School School Board, a former 4-H Leader, and was a charter member of the Daughters of Union Veterans. She and Dick had also been very active in the C.A.R.E. organization. Prior to her retirement in 1988, she had been a Medication Technician at the Clark Co. Nursing Home.
Funeral services are Saturday, January 8, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the Bible Baptist Church in Kahoka with Rev. Steve Wukmer officiating.
Burial will be in Combs Cemetery at Luray, MO.
Friends can call after 4 p.m. on Friday at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka with family receiving friends 6-8 p.m.
Memorials in lieu of flowers are suggested to the Mo. Baptist Children's Home, CARE, or Combs Cemetery.
